Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

The quote tool requires just six details: your gender, date of birth, general health status, whether you use tobacco, the death benefit you want, and how many years you want coverage. That's all we need to pull rates from carriers. We only ask for your name and address if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

Those are the quoted rates for the health status you entered. Once you apply, the carrier performs their own review and assessment during underwriting, which might confirm your health class or move you into a different one. The final price depends on what the carrier finds. Nothing shown here guarantees any specific rate or coverage.

What happens when I click Apply?

You'll enter your name and move into the carrier's secure application system, which already has your answers filled in. You can pause and come back later if you need to. Everything is signed electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California broker (License 0B75129), handles the application on your behalf.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, the coverage amount you're requesting, and what you told us about your health. Most carriers today can offer instant or same-day decisions without a medical exam if you're eligible; others may order an exam depending on the amount. Your quote will show whether each carrier requires an exam, might require one, or doesn't need one.

Is a longer term better?

Choose a term length that covers the period when your income matters most: a mortgage payment, children's expenses, or a business obligation. A longer term locks your rate in for more years, which costs more each month, but protects you longer. The quote tool shows you 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year options side by side so you can compare.

Does this site sell my information?

No. We don't collect your name or contact information in the quote tool—that stays private until you apply. We don't share visitor data and we don't sell it. Our analytics don't use cookies and respect the Do Not Track signal. Check our privacy page for the full technical details about what gets collected and who sees it.
